Intermediate Kayak Course

The Alaknanda River is blessed with constant easy class III rapids with the occasional easy Class IV rapid, to inspect, run or portage. Surfing waves teach you to use the kayaks edges better while your roll gets more reliable every time you flip over on a bad edge.

Besides the endless Class III rapids the Shivanandi Riverlodge in the middle of two sections means you can be paddling on the river and living on the river as well.
